Ongoing Programs

Promoting the concept and practice of volunteering in Romania

Promoting the concept and practice of volunteering in Romania has been and is one of the core roles of the Pro Vobis National Volunteer Center and the constant objective of our activities and programs.

Periodic Programs

The National Conference on Volunteering

The National Conference on Volunteering is a singular event on the landscape of the Romanian civil society that first took place in 2001, stemming from the communication needs of those who had just entered the field of volunteering- then barely explored in Romania.

Volunteer Centers Development

The Pro Vobis National Volunteer Center is dedicated to the promotion of the concept of 'volunteer center', as a means towards facilitating the more efficient involvement of volunteers in the communities in which they live and work. The development of volunteer centers is the core of our activity and it can be divided into two major components:
(1) developing existent volunteer centers;
(2) supporting the setting-up of new volunteer centers.

The National Volunteer Week (SNV)

The National Volunteer Week is an event dedicated to volunteers active in Romania and to all those whom they collaborate with in their activities! The National Volunteer Week is a "tool" for promoting the concept and the practice of volunteering throughout the country, for increasing the visibility of volunteers in the community, and for utilising to its full extent the human potential existent in each community.

The www.voluntariat.ro web page

The site includes sections addressed at volunteers, volunteer managers, volunteer centers, the press and a section with general information on the topic of volunteering.
